Yes very much so. Our good buddy Mike has already seen the TX in person and maybe has sat in it. He says it looks amazing.

He has his preferences even with Lexus. No denying he's a hardcore Lexus dude as am I. He may not be part of this club but he lives on at LexusEnthusiast...

I agree. I see him on Instagram all the time. He seems to be getting the latest releases before anyone else to work on them, so it's natural he's not going to badmouth the hand that drives his business.

I hope Lexus hits something with this TX. They certainly need a good 3 row SUV.

From what I understand, Mike is on a Lexus dealership council or at least has close ties to many of the people working there. Of course he's not going to bite the hand that feeds him.

The Grand Highlander is obviously just a stretched Highlander as its name suggests, but I don't know how it will apply to the TX which will have a completely different body shape than the RX. Platforms and powertrains will be carried over, but that's not enough of an approximation.

I actually made a mistake. Mike has seen the 3GX and said it was amazing but has not commented on the TX. Want to make sure I quote him correctly. Looking forward to the new TX and 3GX.

Lexus and Toyota combined will dominate the CUV/SUV market. Toyota has the:

C-HR
Corolla Cross
RAV4
Venza
Highlander
Grand Highlander
4Runner
Land Cruiser (too bad no more Land Cruiser but heard it's coming back in a different form)
Sequioa

Then Lexus has the:

UX 200h/300h
NX 200/350/350h/450h+
RX 350/350h/450h+/500h
TX 350/350h/450h+/500h
GX 460
LX 600

I think the Grand Highlander will be a different bodystyle from the regular Highlander and have it's own interior as well, sharing only the name and ofc platform.

The current gen Highlander already had its MMC for MY23 where it got the 2.4T, so a next-gen is likely due for MY26.

That's why, I believe the Grand Highlander will be it's own body style and interior, as it's likely to be on the market till at least 2029.

oh that’s a good news hope it won’t disappoint us. GX is a nice unique suv. It’s sad if it gets dropped like the gs. Look forward to the 3gx and maybe it brings me back to Lexus. It’s funny I encountered him on a question about dropping the 4gs an inch. How time flies!

There's nothing wrong with auto 4wd where it stays in 2 until it detects slippage, but yes Tundra and Sequoia are lacking that feature. You wait until you're already in the ditch to engage 4wd there.

I love my AWD but it eats the **** out of tires, nature of the beast. LX will eat through tires in 20-25k miles.

GX isn't going anywhere. It's a truck. New one about to finally come out.

This TX won't be truck based.

I'd love to buy one of these, or a Grand Highlander...interested to see what they come up with...

As for the rear bench, all third row benches are flat. legroom is what we need.

This makes no sense. AWD does not eat through your tires on your LX. You also have 5th wheel out back, "technically" speaking you are supposed to rotate all 5 tires, not just the 4, the 5th tire is suppose to always be in the mix... This goes for GX, 4Runner limited as well. If your tires only last 25K, you got tires that are not designed to wear efficiently. My 2004 4R is on its 3rd set of tires in 19 years of service, the Michelins I had wore so well that the replacement was because of dry aging and not miles. My new tires are Yokohama they are the best Ive ever had.

Never knew about the 25K standard. Bridgestones are the worst. I had a set of these and it needed to replace somewhere around 15k. I always want the dealers to swap out for Michelins if not equipped. They're always the first choice for me. From my recent experience, Pirellis look like a good choice too. Unlike the negative experience posted by another poster here, I'm almost at 36K mark and the tires still look good and are not due for replacement. They look nice too.
