Have no such issue on the GS450h and the Rx450h.

Have driven the Ls600h and it doesn’t drone at all.

Having said that, the A25A from Toyota that is now used on all Lexuses from the ES, to NX and RX is a rather droney sounding engine, eCVT or not. Lexus had to insulate the hell out of it.
I have driven all of those vehicles, and don’t like the acceleration feel.

I find it much more responsive and predictable for merging and passing.

I have the perfect solution. Dont have kids, no need for a van. Problem solved.

there is generally no right or wrong with a persons preference. Unless it crosses extreme ends of a legal or moral boundary.
