Default "Luxury truck" vs Luxury sedan

with the advent of luxury level trucks theres even less of a reason to buy a luxury car. Before if you wanted luxury and a truck you had to buy 2 separate vehicles. Not anymore

Very true yes, I forgot to include the GC, GW, and Wangler. Good call

Uh as someone who came from luxury trucks a true flagship level car is not something a truck can ever equal from a driving perspective.....

It is true that trucks are wonderful now, but they just can't move/flow like a flagship can through traffic with such little driver effort.

i never said flagship just luxury car. Considering the price i paid for my ram, no luxury car can come close to what I got for the price for what the Limited has. I'm pretty jaded on luxury brands now.

They can't, but its all about tradeoffs. A flagship sedan can't do many things that a truck can do.

True,…but people like trucks and body on frame….impossible to replicate a body on frame experience. An LX carries more prestige and status than a LS…times have changed

having a luxury truck is way less stressful ownership than a luxury car. I come out to door dings occasionally and honestly didnt care, its a truck. Bump the curb with my tires? Nuts that might have been a rock chip? Oh I put a ton of miles on it this month? Drove into the refinery job site in a gravel road? Who cares its a truck.

I don't agree about the LX, but something like a Range Rover does for sure. I would argue something like a GLS or X7 or Audi Q8 or Escalade does too.

Door dings and damage I absolutely care about but the other truck stuff is great and I utilize it constantly. I did today twice, ran over a completely pointless curb from another era and used a quick off road oriented turn around to miss a bad accident on the freeway that would bottom out/damage a car or less capable SUV. We’re talking about making these moves quickly and accelerating quickly away. Shrugs it off and asks for more.

True, but if I'm just driving and don't need a truck for truck tasks they stay at home.

Yeah. Parking for a full size is a pain as well since I never park near anyone so I sometimes have to park quite far
