The new chassis is 200 lbs lighter than the previous one and it is stiffer with a lower center of gravity. The direct 4 system provides torque vectoring and instant torque to the rear wheels. It can also put 80% power to the rear wheels and the adaptive suspension keeps the body flat on corners. It also has multi link suspension in the rear now. The RX500h has more torque than my GS F and it looks to be the same 6 pot Advics calipers from the LC500. If the new RX is this good, I can't wait to see what they have in store for actual F models. I'd imagine the same drivetrain and suspension in the future ES would easily keep up with my GS F on the track. And this is probably why it got discontinued.

They are still estimating a high 5s to 60. It's kinda slow in this segment.

why do pickup trucks have front hood lines as high as a house? it's all about ego.

I like the direction Lexus took with this new RX. It no longer has the huge wheel gaps of the previous generations. The bulge in the front gives it a more luxury cache, more presence on the road and has that "move over" look. The only issue is performance if the 500h. It should be able to accelerate to 60mph much faster than 5.9 seconds.

that moment you realize you don't have enough power/space to pass anyway.

All other things being aside, finally happy to they got an RX with 350+ hp offered. That barrier needed to be broken some time ago IMHO. Now maybe we will see some RXs at the track. sigh....

i have no doubt this will be very nice to drive, and the interior a very nice place to be. i just wish it looked better from outside (that front).

proportionally i think i read it's the same length but with a 2" longer wheelbase, a welcome improvement to lessen it's 'awkward' side profile, although the front overhang is still huge.

i assume the ludicrous "L" version will be dropped and maybe the trademarked "TX" is going to be a real 3 row vehicle.

I bet 2022 this year is the last year that RX will sell well?
By the end of 2023, I bet it will be down hill for 2023 RX?
Let's see if I'm right.
I am more than happy to be wrong.
There is nothing wrong with making a bet...
I'll take that bet lol. This is way less radical than the last RX Redesign, the RX will continue to sell great.

At least they fit the character and profile of the vehicle. This just looks odd...its a shame because other than that the vehicle is really attractive.

There is a centre side airbag for the driver. First for a Lexus:

e.
This will still sell very well. More widespread offering. 3/4 electrified. This is exactly what people want .

bar TX taking some of its market, this RX will likely become the best selling RX ever.

Alex mentioned the L version was discontinued and will be replaced by a different 3-row vehicle in the future.

Headlights looks neat, the nose not so much.

Interior looks comfortable and well appointed

Really don't like the RX500 rear, but looks clean in different trims

I think what throws me, is it no longer looks like an SUV/crossover at all...it looks like a tall car/wagon...
