The production cars will have the typical Lexus 5in wheel gap which will make it look more like a typical CUV.

I like the direction Lexus took with this new RX. It no longer has the huge wheel gaps of the previous generations. The bulge in the front gives it a more luxury cache, more presence on the road and has that "move over" look. The only issue is performance if the 500h. It should be able to accelerate to 60mph much faster than 5.9 seconds.

‘That is what it is. They have become sleeker over the years This is why their sedans have become smaller inside. Same with Toyota sedans. Make room for something like this n

I'll be an odd man out here and say I actually really like the front end. This would be the first RX in years that I would seriously consider. I think it looks bold and strong.

I think it looks great, minus the whale nose. Wonder why the US press release makes no mention of the Direct Rear Steering yet the global/JDM press releases introduce it as a selling point. Non-US option?

Whale nose is the only thing I don't like...

Again I wish Lexus can make a real “performance” CUV that is RWD based and uses the powertrain from LS500.

The SUV is now based on the TNGA-K platform, which also underpins the smaller Lexus NX and the Toyota RAV4, among many others. It and other unnamed tweaks have made it so that the new RX is as much as 198 pounds lighter than the outgoing model.

One thing I noticed is that none of these new Lexus models have the bigger 12 inch digital gauge cluster that they're putting in the new Toyota products like the Highlander. It just doesn't make sense...
