Late 80s Mitsubishi Starion. Also produced as the Chrysler Conquest.

That's an interesting one. The wheel and engine look like an old Citroen 2CV, but not the hood itself.

Had to cheat and look up what kind of Citroen that is.
Dumbest idea ever and all because auto makers wanted to save money not using an airbag.

The steering wheel design gives it away as a Mitsubishi product. Mitsu back then was noted for that spoke-down design...they claimed that it made it easier to see some of the instrumentation without getting blocked. I refer conventional spokes myself, though, at 3 / 6 / 9-o'clock.
