on the windshield sticker it said 'made in china' which was interesting to me.
Yes, MG products have been built in China for some time now. I won't swear to it, but I think the last MG product to be built in Britain (Longbridge) was in 2016.
This is a rather dated video by Jeremy Clarkson (actually one of his better ones, IMO), but it is loosely-related to the topic....on why British-nameplate vehicles are no longer built there.
I didn't know what either of these is, but I like that the first one has a car shower option to keep the driver clean and fresh.
ha, this annoying screen with the orange, lime, green/blue panels comes up when you start the car. the 'shower' one if to get to the climate controls screen. this rental didn't have climate control (set temp) which was very annoying because you set the fan speed and air temp / ac etc. then park the car for a while and that's what it's on when you start it up again and you can only change settings through the screen.
one of the row of physical buttons below the vents causes the screen to go to the climate controls.
When I was a young kid in Paraguay, late 50s/early 60s (my late father was based there at the American Embassy as military attache), my parents sent me to a local English-speaking American School. A Thames used to pick us kids up in the morning and take us home in the afternoon.
