Is that a Mopar?
Don't tell me, hint like that can give it away...

No, it's not a MoPar, but I will give you one hint: The colors of the paint-package give some clue as to who built it.

I'll put the date at late 60's to early 70's but that's all I got and don't know how close I am.
Sitting back to see what others have on it.

Ok I know what it is thanks to the clues above.

Late 60's to early 70's
American motors
Using those clues and looking at lots of pics I figured it out.

Dropping a clue, rymes with "gambler". haha

OK, Margate...I'll give you partial credit. It's actually the 1969 Rambler-Scrambler, made by American Motors. The Rambler was a compact coupe/sedan/wagon that was built from the early 1950s until 1970, when it was replaced by the AMC Hornet. The short-lived Scrambler (only some 500 were made, in 1969) was the muscle-car version of it, built to compete with Chevy's Nova SS, the Dodge Dart Swinger 340, and Plymouth/Dodge Duster and Demon 340.

You got it, Lex ....and 51 were built. Preston Tucker ran into all kinds of political and economic problems (most of which were not of his own doing)....and the factory never really got rolling.

A shame, too, because this car had, as standard equipment, numerous safety items in the late 40s that were not widely used until decades later.

That car is hard to forget, once you've seen one you remember. Wow only 51 made wonder how many are left. Car was way ahead of its time.

Yes, it featured a rear air-cooled boxer-engine, safety glass, three headlights (where allowed by law), a center-swiveling headlight that moved with steering wheel, padded dashboard, disc brakes, seat belts, an area where the front passenger could crouch down if a collision was imminent, an energy-absorbing steering column, perimeter frame, roll bar integrated into the roof, although not all of the production vehicles got the disc brakes. But, it is obvious that if more cars had been designed like this back then, a lot of deaths and injuries could have been prevented.

In addition to simply not having enough capital for the project, Preston Tucker was also the target of a major smear-campaign from the major auto manufacturers, some Members of Congress, and Drew Pearson, a well-known investigative journalist at the time.

I think this is the car they made the movie "Tucker".
Great movie but it made it look like he threw the car together with junk parts and I never believed that.

Is OP or someone gonna put up another car I hope.
