It's no longer sold in the US due to low sales volume, but previous generations were sold here as the Kia K900 and Hyundai Equus.
Wow I remember there was so much anticipation when it was coming out. I did check it out back then but wasn't impressed. LS was a much nicer IMO. I wonder how all this excitement about the new G90 will translate into reality.
Jesse's dad's VW Jetta from the original "The Fast and the Furious".
You got it my friend.
And, for the life of me I can't remember if he was running NOS in this one or not.
I have the whole series on DVD and now I'm gonna have to watch them again.
I'm pretty sure that it's basically identical to the Explorer ST from a mechanical perspective, though obviously much more utilitarian in design.
may be wrong but i thought police versions have more coolers, larger alternators, things like that, to withstand long waits for donuts, i mean speed traps, i mean surveillance.
I've got nothing on this one but it looks good to me.
I like the color.

Lol, true. And some of that is on the ST, but apparently it lacks an oil cooler. But I did some digging, and yes, all of that is beefed up:
Heavy-duty cooling system regulates extreme heat. The high-capacity radiator, engine oil cooler and transmission fluid cooler – working with the police-calibrated fan and grille – help optimize operation in times of pursuit or periods of idling.
More interesting is that there are actually three powertrains, and the default is a hybrid. Here's the Police Brocure. Some cool stuff in there.

If anyone remembers plz let me know.
Yup, he did run it with nitrous. It actually led to a common (at the time) meme related to the F&F franchise. When Jesse hits the nitrous and gets ahead of Johnny, Johnny smirks and says "too soon, Junior" before hitting the nitrous in his own car and winning the race.
And in theme with the thread, what car was Johnny driving? Should be a real easy one.
