I never seen one but there is an old timer here in my neighborhood that has a golf cart with a vintage VW body style.
It's not a real VW, just a replica made of fiberglass and scaled down and stuck on a golf cart.
No.....that looks more like an early-model Fiat 500 "Topolino" body. It was an Italian super-economy car that competed with Britain's Mini, France's Citroen 2CV and Renault 4CV, and Germany's VW Beetle.
Fiat sold a modern version of the 500, here in the U.S., until its importation was canceled recently.
That one is actually on the low side. I read something that was saying they typically average somewhere in the low $70k range at auctions, with some that have gone for around 6 figures. Crazy.

The car in the link looks CHERRY but dang, that's a lot of money.
I saw a 6 passenger Slingshot a couple of months ago.....
Talk about completely missing the point. I'm sure it handles fantastically with a super-long wheelbase and one rear tire. And is blisteringly fast with 173hp (or 203hp) driving 6 people around.

I'll agree that having only three wheels always compromises stability, but having two wheels up front and only one on back is probably preferable to the opposite, like on a Robin Reliant. Here, Jeremy Clarkson shows just how easy it is to flip over a Reliant, even at relatively low speeds.

Can it still be called a "Slingshot" with 6 passengers?
That may be a reach. lol
