I'm new car shopping and looked at the refreshed '23 Corsair. It's a nice compact CUV based on the Ford Escape. Equipped the way I'd want it, it gets close to similar size BMW's, MB's. Audi's etc.
Yeah, you can get the price of the Corsair up to $60K. No thanks.

The Corsair, at any price level, is an impressive small luxury-crossover. It was my second choice behind the Encore GX....but the GX's smaller size fit my driving needs better.

It's all relative. At $50K, it's a very attractive option. At $60K, there are far superior options out there.

This was pretty much my experience. At low $50k it caught my interest, and then when I built one equipped the way I'd want it and found it was right at $60k my interest declined. A lot of sources rank the Corsair as a solid mid-pack entry in the segment. Nothing wrong with that. Just not what I'm looking for.
The roll out of the refreshed '23 had a long delay of about 4 months or so due to an electronic problem that had to be resolved.

Ford/Lincoln, for whatever reason, have reasonably priced vehicles until they start with their upper trims. The Corsair starts out competitive, but then it goes to Reserve/Black Label and is priced the same as larger vehicles from other luxury brands that seem to have basically the same equipment.
You could say that for many vehicles today....that the top-trim versions are overpriced. That's not just something you'll find with the Corsair.
I know your affinity for Lincoln products, and I'm glad to just agree to disagree here. For $60K, I'd go with a very well equipped X3, GLC or GV70 without hesitation.

Oh, I was not just referring to Lincoln....I agree that a number of manufacturers have what are overpriced top-trim products.
You may like the CLA, and I respect that, but it has not gotten a lot of good reviews, and a number of those commenting here on Car Chat don't think much of it either.

For my $60k I'd also add the Q5, GLC and RDX to that list.
