there was the escalade, the escalade ESV (big one) and the escalade EXT pickup truck!
they're all basically just an excuse to put on 24" rims, bonus points if they're the type that keep spinning when you come to a stop lmao

they're actually still only partially correct

Now I want the matching set.
Small Escalade suv and the Escalade pickup in matching colors, oh yeah!
The 24 inch rims do nothing for me though.

btw are you familiar with the lincoln blackwood?
the early 2000s had a lot of great trends but impractical luxury pickups weren't one of them lol... now it's just funny to look back and see what deemed a good idea by marketing directors

I did not own or test-drive one, but did see and examine one at the D.C. Auto Show, and one or two of them in my area in local parking lots. As I understand it, it was so much of a sales flop that only 1000 or so of them were ever built (although Wikipedia lists 3383).
And I can understand why it did not sell...who would buy a work truck with rare expensive wood around the bed? Doesn't make sense.

But a luxury pickup, now tour talking!
Bring the leather and fancy trim, I like that stuff. Lol

The Volvo 210 aka Duett was in production 1953-1969, a much loved "Handymans ride" as well as in offical use (Post, Telephone, Police, Power, railroads, armed forces).
Sadly many was cut up into "EPA-tractors" in Sweden in 70s/80s...
To fill the void Volvo came up with the 145 Express for a few years but it all ended with the 140/160 series 1975.
