I agree it's a 505, but, perhaps from the camera-angle or lens-distortion, at first, it looked somewhat longer than a 504/505...I initially thought it was maybe a 604.

My late brother had a 505 sedan and loved it. Very comfy ride.

No, it is not a 9-3....but I'll give you partial-credit, since you (correctly) said it is a Subaru-derived Saab.

It is actually a 9-2X Aero. The nickname for this car, BTW, was "Saabaru". I did a write-up on it some years ago. There was also a non-turbo version.

Well GM/Saab did a few "quick'n'dirty" badge engineering jobs on their way to the crash ( well they did one "quick'n'dirty" back in 1980 too, for the nordic countries, ses the older picture, any ideas of its real name?)
