Were they not all built at the same plant in Finland? I know the Porsche Boxster was, probably the SAAB convertible too. I didn’t know the Vauxhall/Opel Calibra was though?

The Saab and Opel probably share a common platform (some Saab and Opel models did).....but I'm not sure about the Porsche.

Spot on ( as usual) they are all made in the Valmet factory in Nystad (Uusikaupunki) ( All Finnish towns has a Swedish and a Finn name due to the fact Finland was part of Sweden for 500 yrs)

Other products made there are:
Saab ( various models)
Chrysler/Talbot (various models)
Opel Calibra
Lada EuroSamara
Porsche Boxster/Cayman
Mercedes W176 ( A) & X253 (GLC)
Fisker Karma

No, you’re thinking of the SAAB 9-3 which shared its platform with the Opel Vectra/Calibra and one of the Cadillacs.

I did a write-up on the X-90 not that long ago. Now only awkward-looking, but one of the worst-driving modern vehicles I have sampled, although not quite as bad as the Smart-for-Two or Ford Excursion.
