Ace Ventura! They don't make 'em like that anymore. I wonder what Jim Carrey's been up to?

Looks like a Plymouth Prowler, though I don't remember it having the Jaguar-esque deboss on the steering wheel.

I saw one of these in the wild back in the day.

Bonus, what is the vintage?
Bonus, what's under the hood?

What am I?

Ferrari Testarossa, specifically 512 M. I think that version was 1984-1990, and then replaced by the 512 TR in 1991? I might be off by a year or two. Most of them were red, of course, but white was made pretty famous by Miami Vice. I had one (in red) on my wall as a kid, along with a Lamboroghini Countach LP5000.

There is nothing under the hood, it's mid-engine.

In the back, there's a 4.9L V12. Ironically I only know it made 380hp because I read an article recently about some vehicle of the same era (which I no longer recall, maybe a truck of some sort) making 382hp and therefore being more powerful than a Testarossa.

Dammit, I stepped it up in difficulty and still too easy for ya'll.

Was hoping to catch you off guard, engine is in the back! Haha

A Ferrari Testarossa is something every car guy can easily identify lol. Gotta step it up a little higher than that

Many of us had posters of them.

Hmmm?......It looks like a Miata in the rear end, but the wheelbase is clearly too long for a Miata.
