Clearly it made it passed the discussion phase given the multiple spyshots of the model with stacked exhaust and LFA-style center exhaust on later prototype.
But yeah, given the trademark was abandoned 2 years ago, don't think this will be a surprise to anyone.
I don’t think there was anyone here that thought this car was ever going to be produced. Sure some people had hope but they knew this would never happen.
Lexus is a real joke sometimes. I guess we’re lucky to have the LC and RC-F as it is. I’m sure they’ll eventually kill everything else that’s not a crossover/SUV outside of the ES with the way they do things.

I agree. The LC kind of came out of nowhere like the Acura NSX. I think the LC and LS500 were Lexus's final attempts to move upmarket into German territory, but the catastrophic failure of the LS basically killed whatever desire Lexus had left to move away from platform shared FWD Toyotas. The LC isn't just the last of its kind for naturally aspirated V8's, but aspirational Lexus RWD vehicles in general.
It's crazy how Lexus LC sales have stayed steady and are almost matching the LS in sales since the LS sales have nosedived. I think it shows that there still is a market for grand touring and sporting cars despite sedan sales dying, though this is already evident with how well other sports cars are doing in sales already.
Hopefully inspired Lexus to keep up the RWD products for the coupe segment, which we know there will be a future product in the next few years per their racing department hinting at the next gen model.
