Nowadays it's a lot more about the the human psyche and marketing. Would you rather have a motor displacement of 3.4L or 3.5L? A battery capacity of 3300mAh or 3400mAh? Pay for an item with a cost of $5.99 or $6.00? The best was in the late 60s/early 70s when some US muscle cars' HP was greatly understated by the manufacturers. My favorite being the L88 '67 Corvette.

Also, usually 3445cc can be displaced into 3.5L but it's normally pretty difficult to displace 3445cc into 3.4L

RX500 means it should have a 5.0 liter. IMO

Rear wheel drive would be nice too.
The older 3.5l is smashed up in there too tight already.

Have to drop the engine cradle to reseal the leaking timing cover, a fate they will all suffer eventually.

Having driven the 350 and 450 the 450 transforms whatever product its in. Honestly? In a GLE or GLS I don't think I would get the 580 because the 450 is that good.
would you describe him as a sporty driver?

sounds like he's 'normal' then lol... in which case i'd agree it could be perceived as a V6 during everyday casual use

for anything else however it's noticeable, and once the initial turbo spool up phase is over there really isn't much performance anymore in such a heavy SUV

A better question would be which vehicle he had prior to this GLE.

There we have it.
1. MB achieved what they wanted people to perceive their naming.
2. This I4 is sufficient enough for people to think so.
Win win situation.

Got a newish Corolla for a loaner while I get my LX bumper repaired. I must say, for someone who just wants high quality, cheap transportation it delivers in spades. It's slow but not as slow as I thought it would be. I'm irritated because they were behind and the two people who walked in AFTER me got Expeditions, they just got lucky bc Enterprise is always behind. I really wanted to see what the Ecoboost is all about but I got stuck with this tin can.

I hate it but it's really not bad at all. For someone who doesn't give a crap about cars and just wants something cheap, good, and reliable to get around this is a great little car.
