I just don't like my garage to be cold.
‘Makes sense. Why don’t you install a couple baseboard heaters?

My garage is exceptionally well-insulated (shares 1.5 walls with the house, batting in all walls, 2' of blown-in in the attic, brand new insulated overhead doors), so it's exactly 40F out there now (outdoor ambient is -11F). If it goes any lower, I have a 4000W space heater I can turn on its lowest setting.

I have a gas line to the garage with a heater, no need to waste power since that costs way more than natural gas. It need to be upsized after this though, it's too small.....

Nice, mine is similar but I just noticed my 3rd door needs the side seals replaced. I have a 1/5 inch gap letting cold in lol!

I did a temp fix by locking the door and ramming shims into the track/door gap and shoving the mower into it. Kinda annoyed at this since in summer when I replaced all the other seals these appeared okay.

Good idea with the shims. I'm going to give them a try. I can see a little daylight up and down one side of my door during high winds like yesterday and today. The door faces west and most of our weather comes from that direction, so it pushes on the door pretty good. Currently it's -9 and wind chill is -33.

Yeah it's 7 degrees right now in Knoxville. This is insanity.

Garages are going to get colder now, lol. Ours is pretty well insulated.

So, my mother-in-law bought a Q3 last November. Due to circumstances she hasn’t driven it much. It has less than 500 miles.

I drive it once in a while if I need another car. Some things I noticed.

The steering wheel rim is very flat. I’m used to a round wheel and this one hurts my palm when I grip it. Is it like this with all Audi models?

Also notice the lug nuts look like this. The car has been in an outside driveway, away from road grime and salt. Is this normal?

Lastly, the service reminder popped up the other day, I guess due to time lapsed and not mileage.

Yeah it's not fun, that little gap when there is wind and it's this cold really saps the heat out and let some snow inside.

The wheel is somewhat normal, it's done that way since you aren't supposed to really grip anywhere other than 9-3 or just sorta loosely holding it on the bottom somewhere if you aren't pushing it hard enough to need two hands. The lugs they come with are not great, they always rust like that and you can replace them with aftermarket units or have them coated to resist.

My in-laws belong to the cars take you from A to B crowd. I doubt anything will be done about it.

This also reminds me of when I see rusted Lexus rotor hats and see BMW ones that have no rust.

If:
-You usually park your car on a slope
-You start parking it the other way around
-You haven't checked your coolant level in the morning, when cold, after a cold night, for a long time
-You don't take all these things into account
...you might (initally, hopefully) reach some incorrect conclusions.

We are still just smitten that we can get both cars in the garage now. I don't like cars outside nor people being able to tell if you're home or not. Garage kept cars stay virtually new if you take care of them.

It got down to single digits outside and stayed at about 55 degrees in there per outside temp at startup, which is pretty good I think?

It is SO nice getting in a warm car in the winter and a cool car in the summer.

My cousin and his wife were here from WV, this was where his filthy salt covered car was sitting in the driveway lol
