Give me some examples?

let’s not forget Lexus made this ES250 at one time. The US spec SC and GS were nice cars. I do agree with you though. Lexus had mostly better materials and fit and finish on the whole.

I can give you tons of examples, a low optioned E Class or 5 Series vs a GS (when there was a GS), a low optioned GLC or X3 vs a Lexus NX, or any option GLB vs an NX. an ES vs a low optioned 3 Series or C Class, this has changed some because Lexus interiors are not what they once were and German interiors in low spec situations have improved, but I considered going German every time I replaced one of my Lexuses and I always found that to make the interior feel as nice as the Lexus, if it was even possible, I needed to add a lot of options.

GS is a good example. I give you that

No no, I mean in 2019 or '20 for example, the $60,000kish price of my LS430 the original owner in 2004 paid was about $80k in 2019-'20 dollars. With the inflation over the past few years, now that $60k in 2004 is worth $100k in 2023 when it was worth $80k just 3-4 years ago. See what I'm saying? I'm realllllly dorky with the inflation calculators, have apps on my phone lol.

If you think about it, it makes sense...$14,000 between the value of that money in 2019, that means that there has been 17% inflation since 2019, I would buy that.

Yep, in some sectors/lifestyles most have seen a 20% paycut due to that

I try not to think too hard when it comes to numbers because I'm so bad at math, lol. If you say so.

But it does make sense, a lower spec high end luxury car (like my 2004) today is roughly $100k, or close.

The monoblock look........a signature visual distinction for V12 cars and early AMGs, you can ID them from across a parking lot by the exclusive rims alone.

I always liked the final LS400 wheels a lot too, classy.

It's the Platinum Edition wheels that are awful, bleh. How anyone approved wheels this hideous that drastically downgraded the car's appearance in a partnership with Amex Platinum is beyond me....

Those wheels just look smaller to me, for some reason.

I have always liked machined finished diamond cut wheels, one reason why I liked those LS400 wheels we had on ours is they really showed off that finish well.
