True but I would be SCREAMING internally due to pumps 2/3 not having any fuel on them and senders 2/3 being at end of travel and having a lot of vapor pressure in the EVAP lol!

I just can't let a car fall under 1/4, even more so in a German with 3 fuel pumps and sensors etc....

I have taken the LS430 down to fumes probably a million times, never a problem.

Lol the SL500 I fill up when it's at 1/4 tank --- I definitely get what you're saying.

I'm always looking for the cheapest gas, too. But my Kroger points give us discounts.

Don't you love ICE cars? Even when you reach empty, you can still run another 20 miles or so. And not too worried because you know there's a gas station nearby until you can't find one. Lol I was on freeway on a long trip and overlooked the low gas light. That was one scary night for sure. After that I always fill when hitting half mark. BTW doesn't your car keep nagging you with low fuel audio alert?

not surprised at you guys.

The separation of functions adds an air of occasion to the event of lighting off a 500+ HP engine IMO in the same way a physical key does. It elevates the experience, convenience isn't everything and this constant push to save effort and time just cheapens life. It also reeks of a society that is never able to take any time and appreciate things
air of occasion? elevates the experience? you should write for a fancy restaurant.

my lc500 adds an 'air of occasion' when it ROARS to life when i press the button start.

you really walk around with a mercedes logo'd key fob hanging from your pants?

i like the tesla approach. no key needed at all. just walk up, get in, drive away. the car figures out if you're 'legit'.

with cars under warranty, you're unlikely to pay for a bad fuel pump.

Think it's a mid 70s Celica. I have one on my block used by a person that works in the school on the corner. I'll try to get a picture of it. It's really small in person.

Oh the startup noise is important as well, I have my cars coded to start with the exhausts at full bypass then close after 15 seconds

You've focused on two cars. The red one is a 1976 Celica ST notchback (there were also Celica fastbacks). The blue one is either an early-80s Buick Regal or RWD Olds Cutlass..the two were almost identical from that angle. (there was also a FWD Olds Cutlass Ciera)

And the yellow/brown car in front of the Celica is an early-80s Chevy Impala/Caprice. Next to it is a late-70s/early 80s Dodge Diplomat/RWD Chrysler Lebaron.

It actually just warns you once and thats it!

This morning, it was pretty empty! 21.1 gallon tank:

I deliberately clip it backwards so the logo faces my hip lol

Same, and a lot of car companies are going that way.

go to 9:30. More C63 sounds, if that's what you want to call them.
