My friend, plz be careful doing this.

There are many times I'd like to help a neighbor but will never do it or offer unless they ask.

Like mmarshall said, I too only help anyone when they ask and I almost never offer but that is a story for another day.

This one needs no explanation..lol
From the taillights in the first picture looks to be an Oldsmobile from maybe around 1948-1949 or so. Just a guess tho.

Correct...a '49 or '50 Olds coupe, although I don't think that's a stock roofline. It was very common to "chop" and customize American vehicles of that era with lower rooflines and smaller windows, just like it is today with lowered suspensions. Chopped Mercury coupes, such as the one below, were especially popular.

Well I may have signed myself up for a form of hell. The Jeeps replacement is here.

This is the opposite of how I normally buy cars, this one has a perfect engine/trans but needs cosmetics and a diff replaced. Normally I buy with dead engine/trans but everything else perfect. I'm the 2nd owner and I feel bad for the first since they spent $32k in the last 20 years to keep it alive.

That's a Second-Generation Toyota Solara convertible.

IMO, that's an ideal gauge-panel.....simple, to the point, no-nosense, and easily legible. The only change I'd like to see is a speedometer with 10, 20, 30, etc... increments instead of 20, 40, 60, etc...

You are probably not old enough to remember it, but paint jobs like that were fairly common in the 1960s with the Hippie counterculture and their VW Microbuses.

Looks like that was a few months ago. When they steal the Tesla, I wonder if the owner of the Tesla took his phone with him. Since the phone acts as the key, I don't think they would have gotten very far as the phone would lose BT connection with the car.

Yeah it was like 3 months ago. For some reason it popped up in my YouTube recommendations last night too.
