No question the S Class is better looking outside, but I have never warmed up to the stuck on tablet looks inside and the 223 has some really noticeable quality cutbacks from my 222. That i7 is the wool interior which I wouldnt get.

I checked out an i7 when I made the 2nd deposit on my M3 (for the Individual color). It was spectacular, in both the front and the back.

Not getting anything until mine gets close to 50k miles, then I will have to decide if I get a warranty and keep it or get something else. Still not ready to move on from my car. At current there is no faster version, but no I would get this version. More than enough power for anything I would ever need.

Whats interesting is it feels MUCH more like a V8/ICE car than a Tesla. Teslas have a snap all power feel to the throttle and this feels linear and progressive and the power builds through a curve the way a V8/ICE car does. It was really interesting driving it back to back with my S560, it feels way more similar than it does different. Teslas I have driven have an oddness to them that this didn't have at all. I know you have said one of your issues with an EV is that the power delivery is all the same, that is definitely not the case.

Looks good. I like the identity BMW has designed for themselves with this vehicle.

There is an M version with good performance if you want a dual motor version. Also yes, the other brands have much better calibrations and surpass Tesla on that, suspension, tech, and systems integration. My issue is that only Audi and BMW have done that and when floored it's still identical

Give designers time, they will get there. M version isn't out yet

There's no doubt that the i7 has a better quality interior than the S-class but I vastly prefer the MB design. I agree that the i7 drives wonderfully and its quite efficient. Ugly as hell though I must say and its one of the rare times where the looks haven't grown on me. I can tolerate the iX but this is a step too far for me. Side note: my grandma's i7 cashmere wool interior was in bad shape last time I was down to visit. Thank goodness the detail shop was able to get the litany of stains out. Leather would've been a far better idea.

I hate the iX, it hasn't grown on me at all but the 7 has grown on me to where dare I say I like it.

You prefer the MB interior tablet design? Really?!

Yeah that doesn't surprise me about the cashmere interior, I would want all leather.

I get asked a lot to help people move, owning a pickup.

I rarely do it anymore. People usually ask at the worst times. Either it's my busy season, or it's July in Las Vegas(115 outside), or it's somebody that hasn't talked to me in 3 years but suddenly wants to know what's up? Pass.

Totally feel you. Also, we're adults...not 18 year old kids. Buy your own truck. If not it doesn't cost much at all, like $30 to rent one.

Styling has grown on me a lot, still have a year or so before I want to do anything but this would be very hard to beat. The interior of this car just blows the W223 S Class away.

A cousin at my family reunion had one. I didn't get a chance to check it out but he called it the "computer car" and liked it alot from what I could gather.

What I find interesting about this is 7 series the V8 is faster than the EV.

I think thats because of weight (the EV is 1,000 lbs heavier). 0-60 is about the same as my S560, and like I said the power delivery feels very similar, but when you floor it you get that instant torque slam.

Seriously, you should drive one...I think it would make you feel better about EVs.

Oh I watched the Motorweek on it and they are echoing what you say about it pretty much down to a T.
