i've lived in hilly places too (atlanta for example, which is hilly in itself, but also including driving hard in the GA mountains and also deal's gap / tail of the dragon - doesn't get much more brake abuse than that!).

In my Lexus cars I can warp rotors on one trip to WV if I wasn't careful. I never owned a Lexus where the OEM rotors weren't warped within 20k miles, then when replaced with aftermarket never an issue again.
we must just drive very differently. that hasn't happened to me with any brand of vehicle i've owned. as i said, one set of rotors on my lexus gs had deposits, which the dealer 'turned' and they fine after that.

Visiting relatives and I got reminded that my cars are larger than I feel they are lol! I don't consider them that big but next to more normal cars or in a standard garage its obvious

I must drive the same way, I’ve never had modern brakes warp in any of my cars including various Lexus cars/truck and even in the trucks like my GX and cars like the IS that people say they need brakes fairly quickly, I’ve never needed them before 50k miles.

How loaded down were your cars? With 4 adults and two kids in the Pacifica I assure you I wasn't driving aggressively lol.

There is a lot of stop and go driving here in the DC area, and I'm a brisk driver and move my way around traffic etc, but what warps the rotors is trips to WV. In the Mercedes its a non issue, and on the other cars once I get better rotors its a non issue too

When I had my townhouse my S Class barely fit in the one car garage, it was like that. My garage not though is 21x21 and the big cars fit pretty well

I’ve been driving around my cousins kids in Washington D.C. all weekend in their Yukon XL Denali. There’s three of them 4 and under. This is the first time my husband and I have been in charge of them solo and it’s been quite the experience lol. The Yukon drives wonderfully and I actually didn’t sweat driving into the city and then back to Alexandria the last few days. It had plenty of space for us to get back and there and help the kids, change diapers, etc. I get it.

I will say it’s always amusing to me how much cheaper the interior gets in these SUVs once you past the first row. By the third row it’s all hard plastic. Which was fine as it resisted temper tantrums well.

Haha, you’re still alive!

Yeah they are super nice and surprisingly easy to drive.

You're totally right about the materials too!

They don’t come in that color so has to be a wrap or repaint. I see a fair amount of Teslas that wrapped in strange colors like pink, purple, baby blue, etc. Looks terrible.

I see a lot of Teslas wrapped weird colors. There is a metallic pink Model X around here, a color changing green one too
