Very nice spec, I would get the deep blue. I'm a sucker for green but I don't know how you feel about that....

Looks very good. I prefer the 20s on that car

Since you asked for opinions, IMO, forget the looks and get the 19s.....or whatever is available on that car that will give you the highest-profile, softest-riding tire. Looking at one's car is one thing.....living with it and riding in it, every day, over bumps, potholes, and bad pavement is quite another.

I like the green! There is one that uses the carwash I use I see routinely. I just wonder if I would get tired of the green, and then theres resale...

I like the 20s too, and the tire sidewall is similar to what I have on 19s, but I always want the best ride...

Those 19s are similar to mine but they have that stupid aero lip than MB is putting on some wheels. These are the 20s:

There is a CPO blue/black in Alexandria on 19s (the one I pictured above) I will go drive and see if the 19s feel better.

Theres a point though where you get a diminishing return. Its a balance of looks vs ride. My 560 is on the 19s and rides incredibly, you could get 18s but they looked small. You can get 21s on the 580 but I would never go there. The 20s on the 580 have about the same sidewall thickness as I have on my 19s.

love the green. my 4 door acura legend was dark ('emerald', metallic) green... looked amazing.

and the 20s look way classier than those 19s. and it will ride fine (great).

I always trade them in vs turn them in, so resale does matter to me to some degree.

I remember that green on the Legends…

by trade in you mean if the car appraised worth is more than the residual, right?

Yeah and if you like playing the game you can roll equity forward and with write offs basically drive 2-4 classes higher than you can really normally afford and never pay much at all. Issue is you need to keep rolling it forward and the market can't crash out

I did that with my trucks but opted to leave the game when Covid happened since I was able to sell my 2017 for 3k more than I bought it new with 37k on it lol!

Yes, but how much more would it have cost it to replace it if you had to? At the time, during COVID, new-vehicle prices from dealer markups were also skyrocketing.

Probably more than I would have wanted to pay, at that point I was soured on how little you got for your money with new cars anyway. I used it to buy the 4.0TT

SW17LS, my favorite color of the S class you are planning to order is the blue and second goes to green. Whatever you choose, you really can’t go wrong.

Mercedes does an excellent job making even entry level luxury cars look premium. The exception is the CLA, which looks cheap to me. It’s still good enough to fool non car people because it’s a Mercedes. When the CLA came out, I had some friends who were technicians at a dealership here in CA (they left to make more $ in completely different careers) and they said the CLA was a nightmare for them. Customer reports interior rattles was a common complain and the techs heard them too, but couldn’t resolve them. Are they better than other cars starting around $38k? Difficult to say.

My vote is for emerald green. I know people are mentioning the popular greens from other eras but this green isn’t the same. It’s almost black until the sun hits it and then you see the green pop a little. It’s an amazing color.

Of course idle it were my car I wouldn’t get the color for all of the reasons you state but it’s not my car so that is what I would pick.

I also like the graphite gray, but Emerald green is very nice on a previous gen. S65 AMG coupe I saw in person, a rarely seen paint on any S class, and I think it looks stunning
