So that's what my LX does by default I'm guessing. Nevertheless, they're great. The coolers do nothing, just like in the LS.

The only seat coolers that I've ever felt working and actually did something were in.....a GM product.

From everything I've ever heard, GM vehicles are some of the only, if not the only, vehicles that actually have COOLED seats and not just VENTILATED seats.

Yeah, I've been in a few Lexus products with cooled seats. Certain Fords and Lincolns have them too.

I had a DTS rental ages ago and those seats got uncomfortably cold on max. I loved it

in my experience the A/C needs to at least be on for "cooled" seats to not just be "ventilated" seats

were my LS to be retrofitted with any more recent tech i think cooled seats, auto high beams, and a direct USB connection for music would be the top 3 lol (#4 would be auto brake hold)

The LS460 actually has a cooling element in the seats independent of the car's HVAC

Of course. GM, undisputed king of A/C and heated seats, wheels, etc. Like I said the 2015 Enclave blows actual cold air through your clothes. Only car I ever noticed seat coolers actually working, and working well. That’s GM for ya. Denali I believe is just ventilated, not cooled air like the Buick. Both GM steering wheels will burn your hands off. If the LX is a 8 on scale of 1-10, both GM vehicles are like 15.

I’ve heard some GM vehicles use cooling plates in the seat, not sure how truthful that is though

Yes. It looks the best out of all of them and is the first. I'm not against FI, but I prefer NA. The first one would still rip 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, with 391lb/ft of torque from 5.5L. Remember how I told you I drove that SL550 with that much torque and displacement (not as much HP) and it blew my socks off how fast it wanted to fly through second gear? Compared to mine? It was insane.

Superchargers are great though, there's no lag. Even the best new turbo motors have lag. That 2023 Ecoboost 3.5 did, I just watched a review of a Grand Wagoneer Hurricane and there was lag. There's about roughly one second of lag it seems like with these modern turbo motors. Once I've watched and ones I've driven.

It's not that much slower, but yes. I'd love a W210 E55. I'm sure they're reliable if cared for, so far in my Mercedes ownership of that era the car is very reliable.... it was pampered correctly as a MB should be. Do that at least with an old (overbuilt) car like an R129 and they're almost like Lexuses reliability wise. Someone on here has a beater ML500 they call a beater which amuses me, I have a friend with a 170k mile W220 S500 doing fine. They will go the distance. You can tell the car was built to last FOREVER, at least the ones like mine.

i do remember that, although that SL550 did also have 7 gears instead of 5

and the W211 is like 150hp up from the W210, it's the same size engine + a 2.3 liter supercharger so it's effectively like an 8 liter engine lol... i think it's awesome that they more or less cost the same when new as well

the W210 is the better daily i think though, it def uses less gas and is just a more simple car (no airmatic or brake-by-wire for instance)

Change the under-seat air filters in your LX and LS and you'll feel the cool seats work. I thought it was better/stronger in my 430 than my 460 actually. You'll feel it for sure - if you don't, something else is wrong or blocking air flow.
