So I’m in Ocean City MD, have been since last Saturday, I come back Monday. I have seen a bunch of cars in the wild for the first time.

I saw a Mercedes EQS…

Ive seen at least 3 Grand Wagoneers

and last night I saw the new Range Rover for the first time in the wild! It looked great, even the rear. I’m thinking more and more that might be my next car.

Interesting to see new high end cars here I have never seen at home. OC isn’t a “car ****” kind of place.

I also experienced once or the biggest values in having luxury cars. In the condo where I’m staying there’s a nice, but older previous generation Mercedes GL550, white in nice shape. Walking up from the beach and under the building where it’s been parked I walked by this couple who were talking about it, “Wow look at that beautiful Mercedes SUV” and the wife goes “yeah that is really, really nice”. That vehicle was at least 7 years old.

Yeah GL is such a nice SUV, but just the outside. IMO, the current GLS, except the outside, is a step or two ahead of the GL. I rented the GL for a week to see if I would get it but wasn't pleased. You need to visit me so you can see more cars you like.

No doubt! The GL was never impressive inside but outside it was great looking. GLS is way better inside and to drive but outside is blob-ey.

Oh I see plenty of great cars at home! Just interesting to see them here in Ocean City.

So I saw this license plate... CSS-VZLA. Can someone decode it? It's obvious VZLA is Venezuela. But what is CSS? Is it Cascading Style Sheets Or Corrupted Communism System or Something else? Lol

Tried to settle for next best thing and floated the idea of a Lexus GX last year and they want stupid money for older models with 150K on the odometer, bald tires, peeling clear coat, and all....

PS- that was a very interesting article you posted above. I hope Panasonic does bring a new battery factory here and GM & Tesla co-opping on more charging stations coast to coast.
Also hope "The Big 3" get together and build a semi-conductor factory. Like when Henry Ford made his own glass and steel back in the day, nobody can play "shortage tricks" on you anymore.

I just found that highly, highly amusing. A junked Camaro, sure, redneck. A new Corvette are you kidding me????

And VZLA is not necessarily Venezuela. The VZ could stand for Verizon (perhaps a Verizon employee or manager), and the LA cold mean Los Angeles or Louisiana.

He hates on everything GM, can't admit the small block is a killer V8. I know they're marked up but 0-60 in 2.8 seconds for $60k.

the iata code for the simón bolívar international airport in caracas, venezuela is ccs. caracas is also abbreviated as ccs. so it could be a reference to caracas, venezuela if it read ccs instead of css. are you certain it was css?

Id rather have a Corvette than I would a Porsche. Never really found a 911 that appealing. I think a Panerama is nice though.

last gen corvette is better styled than the new model. But the new one is growing on me.
