Of course this car is way more premium than the Model 3 so lots of people will buy these just for that. I can't wait to see these on the road.

how is the i4 faster than the m3p after 1/4?

Tuning. Newer motors and better inverters. The current M3P motors are designed and built since 2017. Actually, the new Chinese M3P with the newer inverter upgrade is running similar traps to the i4 now so who knows if the newer Model 3s are about the same speed. If Tesla gives the Model 3 the carbon sleeve motors along with newer inverters, then the M3P would most likely be faster...i doubt they will soon as I bet those are pretty expensive. I'd get another Model 3 if they released a Plaid version

4series is just a dumb name for 3series coupe, thats what i was referring to.
E46 and E92 coupes/convertibles were huge sellers. The new one I rarely see including the M versions - I think its combination of shortages and hideous styling.

I watched several review videos on youtube trying to get a screen shot under the hood for ya'll but I struck out miserably so far.
I'll keep looking post up just for fun if I find.
At least a rolling chassis and power train outline pics would be cool if I can find it.

There's a number of things at play here that can't be ignored - convertibles and coupes aren't nearly as in demand as they used to be and the 4-series has moved a bit upmarket compared to the 3-series.

I had a e92 335i coupe with N54 engine and Msport pack back in the day.
The position of the 4series relative to the 3series coupe in prior generations is exactly the same.

Just purely in terms of branding and ATP. The GC/Coupe/Cabriolet surcharge is more expensive (430i vs. 330i) is wider than it used to be and with the introduction of the GC they found another way to charge more for the same thing.

The GC is just a 4door coupe.

The coupe and sedan have never been $4k apart like they are now, the difference was half that in the past. Yes obviously the 4-series GC is a 4-door coupe. The reason it exists is because people pay more for the body style despite it having little to no benefit over the sedan. The 4-series line ATP is altogether higher than the sedan.
