Many people who get the cheap high end cars don't respect them at all and treat it like a corolla.
And that was my point, a disrespected LS/S class can drive a lot worse than a Crown Vic, even if the Crown Vic has been neglected, because its so durable.

From what I remember, those Lincoln air-suspensions were failing so often that the factory actually sold a kit for owners, if desired, to have them converted to a conventional suspension.

I always feel for the poor SOBs who buy an S Class for $3,000 thinking its amazing and then can't even keep them drivable...

No joke I had one come in that was using blocks of wood to hold up the car since the drivers front air shock was dead.......

If it moves it's "road worthy" for some people....

Yep, those originally 100K MSRP cars you can eventually pick for a few thousand immediately revert to the 100K car they once were the minute you need to get any significant work done on them...

Caveat emptor....

Its probably a good thing for you, since you are in repair business.

Yes and no, these types are hard to work with. They are convinced it can be done cheaper/I'm pulling their leg on price and always ask if I can cut a deal or just try and use a used part. I don't like that type of customer

Yeah, I can totally understand that. However in the end they still have to pay, so you gotta balance it out, but I've seen how laughable and annoying these nagging customers can be.

Theres this little crappy car lot I drive past when I leave the carwash. They have three W221 S Classes out front, and one is always down on the wheels in front and then they pump it up and it lasts a little while. I pity the person who buys that thing...

It doesn't. Car Chat is plenty.

I don't drive a Mercedes, I just call it how it is. Certain cars are just better than others and the S-class is one of the best period. I personally prefer the rawness of the A8/Audi lineup and how Lexus does their isolation for a cruiser.

Car Wizard sounded almost like a Scotty Kilmer parrot here (which is ironic since Scotty himself had issues with the LS V8's). Must be low on views recently.
