In fairness to Honda, I have to point out that Consumer Reports' objective survey numbers don't back up this statement. They've had the CR-V consistently better than average in low incidence of problem, every year since 2019 inclusive. As pointed out later, the longevity of the engine is a question, but they've been solid in Years 1-5.

Those are the warranty years, they damn better get it right or there are major issues considering they are an appliance tier brand.

I was talking about Honda as a brand. My assistant has a CRV though and has had nothing but problems. I have personally rescued him when it left him stranded twice. My wife’s aunt also has one and it’s been total garbage, in fact it and their Odyssey has ended their decade plus run of buying only Hondas and they won’t buy another one.
