Even family folks should enjoy V8 power.

I'd buy one of those, as soon as they get tired of the gaping maw grille.

I still find it weird that there is a cult following for wagons. Even on the Bimmer forums. Everybody wants an M wagon but would anybody actually buy this or is it just one of those things people say they want but never pull the trigger on like buying a Kia Stinger.

Funny you say that, my neighbor has a great looking plug in Volvo wagon with big brakes and great looking wheels and I think it looks great…but I would never buy one.

Not sure if it would sell. When the 1Gen IS300 SportCross was marketed here in the early 2000s, it completely flopped.

I liked the SportCross but it was not an option when I got my RX300 and would not have been practical south of the border, but the SportCross was an inspiration for me looking at the CT200h that I have now. However, the IS500 wagon concept does remind me right off the bat of the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso,

wagons are a nostalgia thing, but car companies mostly won't bother because they don't sell vs the much more practical cuv/suv's.

I drive a Wagon. It's the best mix for me. It's light low and aerodynamic enough to spare fuel, in the same time, it's agile enough to be driven hard, and you can tow and charge it with bigger objects, allowing you to transport things around. Generally, the bonus headroom on the back seats also makes it more comfy for passengers on long trips.

If you go at the dumpyard in Switzerland, you will sometimes see lines and lines of wagons. It is loved. But I can't speak for the US.
