In case you can't tell (you can) it feels like a conspiracy by Toyota to delay moving to EVs.
Axles are falling off the Tundra too so it's not exclusive to EV's at least.

Hyundai has done the SAME thing in China. All of the manufacturers do it.

but back to Toyota bZ3….Toyota will build cars for specific markets…they always have and they are best at doing it
I think you missed the point. Toyota is having a Chinese company (BYD) design and build an EV for them that they are slapping their badge on and may potentially export worldwide. Hyundai isn't, period. Anything they sell in China is designed and built by Hyundai and their factories, even if it is exclusive to the Chinese market.

Outsourcing the design and production to a Chinese company of what should be the most important vehicle in their entire portfolio at a time when EV adoption is skyrocketing is another one of the many reasons why I feel like Toyota is not taking EV's seriously at all.

Toyota has a partnership at 50% of BYD. They did design this EV

Read the article. Every major component of this vehicle comes from BYD, and it's built in BYD's factories. This is as much of a Toyota as the BMW-derived Supra.

which Toyota has a 50/50 stake/partnership. It’s a smart move by Toyota IMO

No they don't? They have a joint venture with BYD to develop EV's, just like they did with BMW for the Supra. They don't actually own 50% of BYD.

You are contradicting yourself in your own post.

The matter of fact is that Toyota doesn't own half or any part of BYD as you insinuate, and this is nothing more than a joint venture for Toyota to slap their name on a BYD-derived EV.

This car is made by Fudi Industrial, a subsidiary of BYD. Toyota has no ownership stake that I'm aware of.

That is a "joint venture" like I just mentioned. That is not Toyota owning 50% of BYD and taking part in developing BYD components as you insinuate. This is getting silly and I am moving on unless there is something substantive to talk about.

That's the name of the joint venture. The components of the vehicle are still entirely made by BYD, which Toyota has no ownership stake in. Once again, Toyota has no part in the design or engineering of BYD's motors or batteries or platforms which existed well before the venture. This is once again, the exact same relationship BMW and Toyota had when they made the Supra.

You did. When I mentioned BYD, you claimed Toyota had a "50/50 stake/partnership" in the company:

I never made any mention of the venture in my post that you responded to.
