Gap Insurance which covers the difference between what you owe and what an insurance
claim pays on a loss has some value guidelines. Included with Leases and available for
a financed car it is most useful early in the ownership period. In light of these over MSRP
costs it becomes an issue if the car gets totaled and suddenly the fine print gets magnified!

Yup!

What I always love is people using free gmail accounts to email sensitive information!

Don’t worry. She will haggle the $2k back at the service department. She’s not done yet!

That's right. Written or not they have no issue if they have another buyer willing to pay more. It's sad when it's not a Joe Doe's used car dealership but also happen at big name like MB.
The issue is they sneak those things in on many consumers who don't understand how all of this works.
Not only those but sometimes they conveniently "made a mistake" on their price, apr or trade in value.

I think we're still in this situation because there are still many in need for a car (totaled, kids...) and others still don't have issues with money. I saw one of these yesterday near home. I saw this one coming up from my behind. I thought it was the same one but this is a different one, a spanking new 2022 with temp plate.

Theres a guy on MBWorld who just got his ordered car, noted the price was higher than he thought it should be, and they told him it was taxes, but once he received the paperwork there was an undisclosed $10k ADM. They flat lied to the guy.

Its amazing. What amazes me in my business is how many buyers just shrug off the DOUBLING of rates to still buy a house. We're talking the payment is $1,700 more than it was 3 months ago and they go ahead anyways!

Hmm...I've been thinking of selling my car, and with these strong used car values, now may be the time!

You'll wind up regretting it if you do.

I may, but I don't use it, so I'm not sure I want to continue to pay for it while it just sits in the garage.

Once ppl start losing jobs thats when house / car prices will go down substantially.
So far job market has remained strong and many industries are still experiencing labor shortages.

Not yet but things always go down, just ask those that bought NFTs.

At this point the Labor market has nowhere to go but down just like the Stock market hit its high point late last year and it has been downhill since with some more to go before 2022 is over.
