I've always felt the same way about the IS. The 2nd gen IS was putting down very impressive 0-60 and 1/4 times for a 3.5L V6. The 3rd gen seemed to take a step backwards.

I've had FWD with winter tires, and even they were a little dicey trying to go up some of the steep hills around my area when the snow hasn't been plowed. The RX-h (or any pseudo AWD really that can drive all 4 wheels) has had zero issues even when I had all-seasons on.

Hope they can turn the new Crown sedan/Mirai into a GS-type EV with dual motors. That would really get me intrigued.

I test drove the 4th Gen GS450h and the 3rd Gen GS450h back to back... the 4th Gen is more refined, but the 3rd Gen felt more muscular (even with the stock euro 3.266, which I have since swapped to 3.79 differential). The 3rd Gen feels more driver centric with the cockpit layout, 3-dial cluster and gated shifter.

I love my 3rd Gen and will drive it another 10 more years till I get a fully electric car
