What is the worst road trip vehicle you have had?

the do not exceed speed is 65mph unless you want to go deaf and the noise and ride are astoundingly bad since it needs all 4 shocks (again) and I still haven't replaced the rear axle so the pinion whine is about 70+Db at all times. Go 75mph and it's 87db. There is no power, there is no MPG (17 at 55mph) and the seats are 300k miles old Chrysler totally non-adjustable past angle and how close you are to the dash..
Nice to have a 2nd car that you don't care if it gets scratched or dented, worry and guilt free driving. lol
Just some good 'ol fashion chop busting. haha

depends how you drive it... if you're strictly law abiding and defensive then everyone starts driving all slow and in your way, if you pull up mad aggressively people tend to move right over lmao

Worst vehicle. 2015 Lexus ES350.
1. Terrible remote touch interface. Just awful and the worst device ever implemented
2. Lack of a dedicated air conditioning button. Had to go through the remote touch interface to turn off and on (see point 1). Essentially made using the HVAC a PITA as I like to use the manual mode
3. The wood steering wheel. Not sure sure if was the style/trim of wood. But around 11am to 1pm when the sun was at high noon time, depending on your direction of travel, the sun would reflect off the steering wheel and back in the windshield….amd when you looked at 3-4 car lengths down the road, there you’d see the reflection in the glass.
4 Ride was just a tad harsh.
Quality was good. Super quiet. Smooth 3.5. Loved the nav. Made in Japan

if a trip is of a reasonable length i think many of us here would consider noise, ride harshness, seat comfort, and amenites as things that make or break it.
i personally HATE having the windows or sunroof open any more than is absolutely necessary. i'm always amazed when i see people zipping along at 75+ with windows down... to me the wind noise alone would drive me crazy.
recently a friend did a big drive in his motorhome and his wife 'had' to drive their brand new tundra behind it. he complained bitterly at stops at how foul the roads were and thus ride quality. she, being a good wife agreed saying oh they're terrible, when she didn't feel any of it.
they're now getting a hydraulic suspension installed on the motorhome.

I'm the same way, not a window open person at all. I will open the sunroof on a super nice day on low speed roads, but never if I'm driving over 50 MPH.

I haven’t driven too many cars long distance. My 1999 Saturn SL2 was unpleasant since the seats were terrible and I didn’t have enough space for my legs. The upside was I had an AIWA headunit, Alpine Type R coaxial speakers, and a changing lineup up of subwoofers in the trunk that made it a little bit more fun.
My actual worst car would be the 2018 Jaguar F-Pace 3.5t. The ride is somewhat harsh for a luxury crossover, the seats are very uncomfortable after 30 minutes, the wind and road noise is bad, the seat doesn’t go back far enough for me to stretch out my legs, the Bluetooth streaming doesn’t work properly, there’s no CD player or auxiliary connection, and it’s terrible on gas. I can’t stand the car with the trim package. If it were a higher package it could be a lot better. It’s my mom’s car but I drive it most of the time. I can’t wait until we trade it in for something else.
I’m probably going to take the GS300 on my next trip. It’s so comfortable that I don’t really drive the F-Pace or LS430 as much anymore.

Never really had a bad one personally, some were just better than others, but nothing extreme. However, I can fondly remember my father with out 1979 Chevette and later our 1983 Honda Accord, the latter being extremely reliable, but both were an utter failure in passing other vehicles. God bless the 'scientific' fact of increasing HP over time.

In 2016 I rented a Ford Focus Titanium for a road trip. It was nearing the end of summer, and we were making the trip at night to avoid traffic. For some reason the front windows would fog up really easily, and it seemed like there was nothing we could do to fix it aside from rolling the windows down while running the A/C at full blast with recirc off. At first it was just really annoying because it was cold. After we switched drivers, I tried to get some sleep, and a couple of hours later I woke up with soggy socks (water in the passenger footwell). I didn't know at the time, but I think the car had an A/C drain clog of some kind, with the extra water contributing to the humidity levels in the car resulting in the foggy windows.
My 2006 Civic DX is definitely the worst road-tripper I've had. No cruise control, noisy engine and cabin, less power than I'm used to, and very uncomfortable seats that I could never find a good seating position in. I remember taking breaks every 2-3 hours just to stretch my back out. That car is very, very reliable though. I believe it has around 350k kms and the only issue we've had was a power steering fluid line that started leaking last year.

That said, the moment I hit an expressway onramp, they all get closed and the HVAC comes back on. I don't want to deal with the noise or buffeting at high speed. It's different in a convertible. With the windows up and a wind deflector installed behind the seats, it can be remarkably serene at highway speeds with the top down.
