Sad - very sad.

Personally i have no desire for any animation, its cool for 5sec when u get the car and then most ppl will just use Apple car play.
I just don’t get why even the Mustang wants to be like Tesla?!

So far 911 and C8 have done nice job with screen integration, so it is possible.

You aren't the generation that this is aimed at.

I just don’t get why even the Mustang wants to be like Tesla?!
Because thats what younger generations of people want.

It has character, its just character aimed at a younger buyer who this appeals to, which is smart.
They could offer both. A tundra has old style gauges and digital style as well

I don't see any point in offering both, in that type of layout where they are clearly designed to be virtual, the lower end "real gauges" just look cheap and like an add on. See E Class mercedes, and low trim Kia models with that sort of setup, like the Carnival.

because tesla is the most valuable car company on the planet, and because the model y by next year may become the highest selling vehicle EVER.
seems like 2 good reasons.

not really. i think the c8 interior is AWFUL.

as for the 911, they have 'traditions' to uphold like the questionable 'chrono' gauge stuck on top like a snow cone they charge thousands for
but i do like it overall quite a lot.

The intake sound should be great as well on these.

Most young ppl that like cars are into drifting not teslas.
I’m not against the tech features, i’m just not a fan of the execution of the dash for a sports car….i know why automakers are doing it bec its a $2 screen from China vs an actual bezel with physical parts.

The new 992.2 will be all digital unfortunately. Another one bites the dust.
Sports Chrono is optional in most models and provides performance advantages not just the clock on the dash. I think its a must have

Young people are into technology and they are into video games and virtual experiences. Tesla is an aspirational brand for them...like it or not.

Car companies know what they are doing.

Car companies don’t know what they are doing hence Tesla is making them look like a joke. Most of them are run by beancounters and filled with bureaucracy.
They just copy one another. Tesla is the only one that is still innovating even when it’s dumb stuff like the yoke wheel.

The tech Tesla offers is 100x more advanced than these new Mustang screens where you can change gauge type display, which MB and others have had for some time.

I’m not sure how you can ask why everybody wants to be like Tesla, and also say that Tesla is beating everybody at their own game and is the only one innovating in the same thread?!

Tesla is clearly the leader in design direction and innovation at current. So…of course other carmakers will emulate them.

As for the Mustang, if all you are focused on is display screens and ignoring all the other car enthusiast goodness here, then you deserve to have nothing to choose from but “soulless EVs”.

seriously…carmakers are damned if they do and damned if they don’t with a lot of you guys.

Every brand has their own strengths and weaknesses.
Copying Tesla and hoping for same results is a fools errand.

Consumers are smart enough to understand that just bec you have ipad screen doesn’t mean your tech is advanced.
New Mustang still doesn’t have basic features like front bumper sensors, 360 camera, HUD etc.
