Wow, that is ugly. I was just watching MotorWeek's review of the C 300... thinking how beautiful it is. I'm tired of angles. Give me classic round styling. I pretty much only like Mercedes and Porsche styling these days.

1. This is 2 series. Why so harsh?
2. The worst angle to take a picture of a car (or a person or anything) is slightly from above its eye level. The car may not look decent/good, but how the pictures were taken is just as bad.

Not a BMW fan, just defending it because it's really not a bad design.
The 2 has great proportions like he stated and I stated earlier. Classis RWD BMW proportions, DOES NOT look like a Mustang like the M4/8 and instead has a nice upright greenhouse, a proper hofmeister kink, and a sharp bodyline that's also been lacking from the 4/8. The regular 2 Series looks weird because of the triangular design elements, but it's still an overall good design. And the M2 will add extra width and make the front end look more normal and balanced due to the more squared off elements. Not a fanboy, just breaking down the design and why I think it will look good.

I think "ugly" is a strong word. I don't think it's that bad, but I don't think it's that great either. In any case, this is not for me.

I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. I think the M2 looks a little better than the regular 2er for me, especially better than the M-Sport or M-Performance models with their out-of-place triangular vents. Not gorgeous by any means, but I think it'll look better in a few weeks, as all new cars do. :P
The headlights kinda give me 6-series vibes, especially from the front three-quarter view.

I'm just going to have to flat-out disagree. I do not like the lower air intakes on the M240i and never will. It ruins the whole front end of the car if you ask me.

Lets at least wait until the formal introduction and some real life images plus different colors.

Not sure you’ve been to Bimmerpost but this has been confirmed as the car so what else are you expecting to see?
