2023 Lexus NX: What's New and Notable?
By Brett Foote

New for 2022, the NX gets a few tweaks for the 2023 model year.

Just one more potential driving distraction. I'm not sure that variable-interior-lighting/trim feature is a good idea....unless there is a block on it while the vehicle is in motion. One is supposed to be looking at the road when driving.....not fiddling with interior-ambience-controls.

MM:Is that all you have to say about the NX? I just acquired a NX 350h and what a dream to drive compared to the Cadillac XT4 I traded in. It rides silky smooth and is quiet. I'm not thrilled with the multimedia system but it's early and I expect to become familiar with it. At 40mi/gal and 580 mi range how can you not like it.

I didn't know you got a new NX. Congrats! I remember when you got the XT4.

It sounds like no changes other than one different package. The 22 had wireless charge and ambient lighting options. Am I missing anything?
I'm strongly considering a new NX350h.

My carpet guy got so enraged by how kia just treated him he jumped ship into one of these. They love it and are astounded how much nicer the car and experience is.

No, there is basically no difference with the 2023. The biggest problem you'll have to deal with is availability. My dealer is given an allotment of 2 per month. You can see what is coming so I picked one and put a deposit down and waited. It came in 3 months as per spec. They even delivered it to my home and took my trade back with them. Now that's Lexus service. The dealer even gives lifetime oil and tire rotations among other goodies. I'm a happy Lexus owner once again!!!! I highly recommend the NX or any other Lexus for that matter. Good luck.

My partner has a 2022 NX 450h+ and it has those features mentioned already. Great vehicle.

Thanks for confirming. You are right, very few on the ground currently. There seem to be no premium package models, only base or fully loaded luxury models. The desire for memory seats rules out the former, and I'm trying to avoid the latter due to 20 inch wheels. The roads in PA resemble a third world country.

Beware, my NX came with 20" run flats. I have the premium model. I'm not sure if all models come with them. The mulrooney sticker doesn't say. I was worried about run flats because there seems to be a negative notion on the internet. So far I am happy with them. They run smooth and soft compared with the 20" Continentals I had on my last car. I have to go over speed bumps every day and these run flats are the best I have ever had, it's almost like they weren't there. You get no spare, none needed now of course but I thinking down the road if I change out to regular tires.
