You have to buy a car: 1990-1999 model year. What are you choosing?

Yeah I know it's random but thought it would be fun. From 1990-1999 there were a lot of great cars made - obviously lacking a lot of the technology (and safety) we take for granted today. But.. If today you had to buy a car that was produced from 1990-1999 and drive it as your main vehicle (so it has to fit your current lifestyle - if you have kids, a 2 seater wouldn't work), what would you buy? And you have to be able to afford it!
We obviously benefit from some hindsight here in knowing how well certain cars have held up - but others might be willing to drive something that isn't overly proven in reliability in exchange for a great vintage design.
So...what are you buying?

Well, 1998 was the last year for both the 90s-vintage Supra and air-cooled Porsche 911s in the American market. Porsche switched to liquid-cooling in 1999 for emissions reasons. And the Supra was dropped for the same reason the Mazda RX-7, Nissan 300ZX, Mitsubishi 3000GT, and Dodge Stealth had been a couple of years before...poor sales and high insurance costs.

And it still looks good!
All these years later.

Interesting that you would include a 90’s Viper as one of your choices for a main vehicle. I used to own a Gen 2 Viper and as much as I loved the car, no way I could daily drive that thing. I loved the impracticable nature of the car but that changes when it’s your main vehicle.

My top 5 that I'm trying to whittle down:
1) 1999 LS 400 - having owned a 1996 I always wished I had the slightly refreshed LS as I loved the headlights and tail lights on the 98 and 99.
2) 1995 SC 400 - I wouldn't have thought of this one but it was mentioned in this thread and I'd be really tempted. My kids are old enough that a coupe is feasible, but not ideal - no need for car seats but they'd be cramped.
3) 1999 Rolls Royce Silver Spur - I love everything about Rolls Royce. Would love to have one.
4) 1995 Rolls Royce Dawn - if I couldn't find a Silver Spur, I'd do this
5) 1999 Maxima SE 5 speed - I owned this exact car; fully loaded with all options and a 5 speed manual. It was an absolutely fantastic car and would still fit my lifestyle today. The styling has held up somewhat over the last 20+ years but it's the least appealing car aesthetically of my group. The driving dynamics with the 5 speed manual, white gauges, great Bose speaker system keep it as a contender.
