My dad had a '75 Monte Carlo with a swapped Corvette engine way back in the day, lol. I still remember how fast it was. Only 3 gears, but it didn't matter.

And LX. Agree. While I say there are tons of 200s too around here, it's relative and not even close to the amount of GXs.

The fact that Marshall mentioned Aviators in the same list with Lexus RXs and X5s in the Washington Metro area is confirmation of the "the red car syndrome"

What RR? The Range Rover brand is diluted.

Does not matter to me.

going from 32k to 24k must be a good thing
People still want a V8 with full time 4WD. (even though the 4.6 V8 is ancient)

Yeah, usually the higher priced items sell less than lower priced

Very well. That makes sense. RR is Rolls Royce. Range Rover (a model) or LR doesn't make it for low sale numbers.

I was going to say, because the Aviator's sales numbers are even lower than the GX's.

Sure. But Range Rover is less special. Just like Lexus is less special when they have super cheap stuff. GX is last V8 body on frame SUV at Toyota or Lexus. Shame on Toyota/Lexus for going with smaller turbos when they need a big V8. I wonder if Range Rover still does V8?

Nice techman.
That doesn't really look like a lot of them running around to be seeing them all over IMHO. lol
No wonder the used GX's carry a premium and the LX, oh boy forget about it... crazy money but dang what a truck.

I like Toyota trucks obviously but there's a reason we held out for the big daddy, GX doesn't really do it for me. I may call Lexus of Knox myself and ask about how many of these they sell.

There will be a moment soon at a light/stop/whatever where I'll take a picture and show you guys exactly what I'm talking about.
I highly doubt they are the most common luxury SUV, there just weren't enough of them sold.

Yes they do, in both the full Range Rover and the Sport.

Red Aviators are easily distinguishable from red RXs and X5s....even at a quick glance. That's at least partly where the large and distinct grilles used by today's automakers play a big role in quick identification. Lincoln and Lexus, in particular, have distinctive grille designs.

My guess would be something along the lines of Range Rover, Merceds GLE or GLS, or BMW X5 or X7, followed by Tesla Model Y and Lexus RX. I'm in Pleasanton, CA.

That went right over your head. The perceptive bias we are talking about is also colloquially referred to as the "red car syndrome". When you buy a red car, you all of a sudden see red cars everywhere. He of course wasn't saying you were mistaking red Aviators for Red RXs lol

I remember when I got my IS 350... Beforehand, I never saw them. Soon after, they were everywhere!

I do see the occasional Aviator around here as well. Increasingly, of late.
