looks consistent with the rest of the honda lineup so this will likely sell well. surprised to see a v6 offered over turbo 4s!

Looks better than the outgoing Pilot, but I definitely don't love this design. From a pure design standpoint, I'd rather have a Telluride, Palisade, Pathfinder or maybe even a Highlander.

Yes! So silly of them to relegate surround view and good front parking sensors (Honda products often lacked the direct front sensors) to the Acura brand for so long.

Curious to see what the pricing is compared to the MDX.
Agree that the 9" screen is a bit of miss with most competitors now offering 12.3" at least on the upper ends (standard on the Palisade!)

Another mixed bag Honda design.

The Verdict:

Pluses: Edgy front styling, solid mechanics, spacious interior, finally rid of the stupid L-shape taillights.

Cons: Front looks just like the lower-grade CR-V, small interior screens, no gear shifter means no place to rest right hand, stingy digital gauge cluster offerings, to get the good features it's going to be costly, side profile and rear side windows try too hard to look like a 4-Runner, rear styling looks like a nerdy Subaru.

Overall, should be another hard to get, popular SUV that will sell for way more than it should.

Overall I feel like this would've been class leading in say.. 2019, but now it just allows Pilot to catch up to the segment.

Lol. The design matches the price point and comparable SUV/Crossovers.

so savagegeese has reviewed it.

i still think it's ugly, but that's the new normal these days.

but these guys are blown away by how it drives (with the rear tvd) and the NA v6.

It just needs a bigger center display. 12 inches like the rest of them.

I'm the target buyer for it so I'd say its styling is a success...

What is it that you think is ugly about it? Its conservative, if anything...you kinda seem to say every vehicle like this is ugly...

as savagegeese points out, they changed the styling to be the fake rugged look like almost everything else now.
it almost reminds me now of a 1990s explorer it's so boxy. i seem to recall you had one which is maybe why you like it.

the front overhang is horrible, to me, like the new accord. but hey, most buyers won't care, at all, and they're lured in with the rugged look thinking it's somehow 'safer' and will get them out of the zombie apocalypse.

still as the review also points out, the tvd actually works to make it better in slippery situations which is great.

seems like it drives really nice, and has good room.

i know not everything is about exterior looks or subaru wouldn't sell anything.
