From my understanding Polestar brand is created/spinned as official geely/volvo partnership in building a joint venture vehicle because they couldn't do that with Volvo brand due to sales terms.

If you drive even a Polestar 2 today vs any Volvo product, despite parts bin sharing, Polestar has done impressive chassis tuning for genuine performance.

As a Polestar 2 owner with over 10k on mine, I second that!

I love appliances. Something about putting your foot down for some instant dizziness, making your wife want to slap you, and your kids screaming for more. Better feeling than any drug could ever give you...and without the side effects

She's not the only one. haha j/k
I see your point about "appliance" but I had a Toyota Corolla and if I had to sum the car up in two words it would be "reliable" and "boring as hell", make it 4 words. lol

I can't do appliances anymore because it's hard to love them but in your defense it may be argued your Polestar has more going for it than jst appliance status, imo.

PS- that was a joke and you stepped into it big time, just havin' fun..; lol

LOL you're probably correct, lots of people have wanted to slap me . I've owned 3 Camry's since 1999 (still own a 2006 that my daughter drives), so I have no issues with appliances

Haha yeah me too but that's ok. lol

I've owned a camry too, double boring.

I don't consider the Polestar an appliance cuz I think it has a lot going for it and maybe they will listen to the criticism and do some styling and bling it up some to make it more loveable.
The Volvo's including this new one just doesn't do much for me and I don't know why.

How about this, the BST Edition:

476 WHP. They only produced 270 of them

I don't really like how the EX90 looks either, but it will probably appeal to Volvo drivers. It's also very pricey, a fully loaded is around $100K

^^ Better, but like most of the newer Volvos/Polestars, just needs more "flavor" and charm. IMO

From what I understand Poelstar isn't even owned by Volvo/Geely anymore, now they're a publicly traded company. Which makes the parts bin sharing even more questionable.

I suppose the EX90 and Polestar 3 were developed when the two companies were both under Geely.

What you are saying is correct, both vehicles were developed and announced before the IPO. Polestars main investors are still according to SEC filings Volvo, Geely and Leonardo DiCaprio, so the Volvo DNA doesn't surprise me. Let's see what their next release will be
