I checked several different sources....none of them seem to indicate which particular vehicle was the culprit, except to state that it was a gasoline fire, so it presumably rules out a BEV.
I see him all the time on the streets of SoCal and he's a very down to earth, friendly and genuine guy. Hope he has a speedy recovery, gets well soon and get back onto the streets...

Yes, I was noticing that, too...but I'm not sure that it was because of money. There are a number of other factors as well...among them the surgeon's skills.

not to harp on about decade old incidents but jay leno is at the center of some of the biggest drama possibly EVER in the entertainment industry... i feel like people who mostly only know him from the cars side of things either don't know or forget what a shrewd fox he was regarding the tonight show

This is 100% correct, Jay Leno can be extremely cutthrooat and competitive. He’s the kind of guy who sits surrounded by cameras he ordered and set up and says “gee, I don’t deserve all this you guys” lol
