I agree. They made the Prius not embarassing to be seen in. Much better vehicle to market to the youth than the ****ty CHR IMO.

Problem is they took away the utility. The highest Prius sales were of a model not exactly considered beautiful, people didn't care. Tons of space inside and cheap to own.

I’ve cleaned up a bunch or personal back and forth commentary that doesn’t belong on our community.

I’ve also cleaned up several Tesla off topic posts that don’t belong in this thread.

Please don’t bring either one of them back here

No I mean when the Prius was at the peak of sales.

THIS IS WHAT PEAK PERFORMANCE LOOKS LIKE. You may not agree with it but THAT IS WHAT IT IS.

I really don't think that is going to happen.

But that was at a time when people were buying the Prius for technology and green-cred and thats not happening anymore.

There are strong indicators.

Not many bought one just because of that, the package itself is family friendly. New Prius is like the LS500, form over function.

Like I said, I was a part of the Prius community back when it was really hot...and yes they did.

I always liked the prius for what it was. Never really wanted one due to its dorky looks and subpar handling characteristics. If i ever ended up owning one i probably wouldn't have complained though. but this new model is awesome and solves all of those issues.

Yes. Never cared for the old ones based on looks and the idiotic centre screen. New one is awesome. And does solve all those issues

What is the advantage of having an isolated pod for the gauge cluster? You actually get less space to place information than if you just got a fully connected dashboard. And how does this work out for people under 5'7"?
I find the interior stark and visually lacking, the engine note like a lawn mower, CVT droning/lack of driver-controlled shifting, minimal gains in mpg's over the last model, and ridiculous pricing all turn-offs. Sorry, I'll be the only one not liking the new Prius.

Probably to be different. As for CVTs I don’t mind them. They are best for fuel efficiency and smoothness. Just can’t drive hard which defeats the purpose
