The current Prius Prime starts at 28k tops out at 34k. With all these upgrades.. I'm predicting it'll start around 32k and top out at 40k.
Now... a GR Prius I can picture getting near 60k if it were to ever happen.

Major styling improvement from the older models Imo.
My dad bougt a new one in 2012 and boy that car was hard for me to look at, had to squint a lot, not a looker.
He now drives a new Rav 4 and doesn't miss the Prius cuz he likes the extra room.
2012 Prius just for fun

That's my point, this isn't remotely a competitor to the Model 3 or any EV of that caliber. Not in price, not in power, not in any metric whatsoever that isn't shared by any other standard Toyota hybrid. The only EV this will be competitive against is a Chevy Bolt (which is slightly faster too lol).

I don't see why the Prime wouldn't compete with the Model 3. It'll probably be considerably cheaper, decently quick, and works as an EV for most commutes. Plus the EV charging infrastructure in this country is still pretty spotty, I'd rather have the gas motor while that gets built out.

Almost is a close call.
I don't think you would like it after being spoiled in a Polestar.
Have a sit down in one and tell me how comfy those seats are. haha
I did already and something stabbed me in my back side as I sat sideways in the seat getting into it.
Got back in my almost 20 year old Lexus and was happy.
I think the Prius will kick it's tail in every way if the price point is close.
