You live out in the countryside of Florida. Where are you going where power folding mirrors are a legit necessity? Lol.

Im in center city Philly with arguably some of the tightest, oldest little streets in all of America and Im rarely in a situation where the power folding mirrors on my car would make a difference. And I have a single car garage here that is less than the standard door width and still have plenty of room where folded mirrors wouldn't make a difference.

For me it's the wing cameras. Couldnt have another DD without it here as I can get down some of those streets without curbing a wheel or parallel parking when out.

The only time I ever fold the power mirrors is when going through the carwash, and an IS isn't a big car. I also drove cars without power folding mirrors, or mirrors that folded at all for many years. I want that feature too, but I certainly wouldn't not buy a special V8 IS because it didnt have power folding mirrors. That awesome V8 trumps the mirrors.

I test drove one before buying my car and it felt too heavy and under powered. When I got into the M340i it made a mockery of the TLX performance

Well, of course. Its a proper RWD layout BMW sport sedan, and much more expensive, a Type S Performance is completely loaded where an M340i AWD starts, to be comparable an M340i has to be optioned ~$64k.

i have a 3 car garage, 2 door on one side, and a 1 door on the other. 3 vehicles... on the 1 car door side in particular, the opening is definitely narrow (i think more designed for a golf cart than a car!) but i can get my suv in with the mirrors folder. so i fold/unfold every day.

also, both my suv and coupe auto fold/unfold the mirrors when locking/unlocking, a feature i really appreciate anywhere i park.

different strokes. i also wouldn't buy/lease a car without hud.

For extremely brief time I had to deal with an apartment size garage self folders are great.

I've not used any of mine since then though, I honestly have to remind myself to use them from time to time to make sure they get to move. Normally I'm parked in a way that allows full door swing

What data in a car is so important that you have to constantly monitor it? Fighter jet yes, car why? I've used HUD in moms LC500 and bros palisade, i just turn them off when I drive them, I dont see the appeal especially when i can see my speed in peripheral vision on a digital cluster/speedometer.

haha, it's not life and death for sure, but i love having nav directions in the hud, i like seeing the speed limit, my speed, etc. just so useful and safer than looking over to the center screen.

I agree with you. So do you use the Lexus nav in your LC? Apple car play doesn’t move to the HUD
