Not proud of it but I get a laugh thinking about it in hindsight. lol
Haha I could never do that! The moment the maintenance reminder comes on I'm scheduling service. I have OCD when it comes to maintaining my ice vehicles! At 5k I had to reset the reminder in my Sienna when I decided I'm going 10k between oil changes. Because it's a Toyota with the tried and true 3.5L, I know it will be fine!

This is on the road near my parents place, considering I had school busses stopping constantly on the back road and hit near every light possible on 23 and was in traffic I'm stunned it does this well. I've driven it enough now to say it's a 20mpg class car and I think a bit more once maintenance and the tune is done..... We will see but I'm hopeful for 24 average.

The little red light is the ACC setting btw, it uses 2.5 mph steps and lights up the light over the speed you select. If you pick 62.5 it lights up 60 and 65, it also will display speed setting and actual on the screen/hud

Found this out when leaving my parents place today, I thought the car doesn't have puddle lights/the pre-refresh omitted them but it turns out it not only has the unlock lights but at night it also has one per door and a 2nd light for the handle. I'm surprised at the attention to detail

We had a decent amount of snow (for here) fall last night and continuing throughout the day, I decided to try out the AWD/TVD even though I haven't gotten the new tires installed yet.

Car did surprisingly well, there is a valley with a bridge on the bottom with a grade of at least 20% on the way up/out. I thought I would have an issue there but it was quite okay with it, this is past the county line so no plow work or salt.

Setting out

On the half near me the roads were fine, not great but not an issue.

Here is the hill, I'm facing down the shallow/less steep side. Where it curves off to the right is the bad part, people crash here all the time and you can hear it from the shop. I didn't have much braking bandwidth on the way down and the way up required TC to work a bit. The W12 is stupid easy to control, never needed more than 1200 rpm

Made it, snow was anywhere from 2-6 inches

All the assists were blocked by snow/ice, I didn't have anything working and the car warned me of that.

The main issue I had was snow buildup in the front arches, I knocked it off before I parked. I drove the whole way in high mode to give the wheels more space.

Door seals are crazy good, didn't let anything into the closures.

I'm happy with the snow performance, I was expecting worse with the tire width being quite wide. Based on how these tires did I'm sure the performance will only improve with my usual type.

I have to say again, great pickup! If I had the space and the repair know how, I would consider trying to find one. These are going to go away, and people like you will preserve them and keep them going! A very special car indeed

Haha! At least you won't have to hose your car off before putting it inside!

It was a very good day, the cars cooperated for the most part too. Did a timing chain and PTU output seal set.....I have a timing belt and VC job tomorrow.

I will say that this car is freaking fantastic, I normally would never have considered taking the 460 or 4.0T out in weather like this but I have way too much enjoyment driving this one. Even the added annoyance of needing two sets of clothes etc makes no difference since the drive is so nice.

The power split is 100% rear drive as well, if you turn TC off it's actually off and allows full tail out with ease! It's just like the 4.0 in that regard but I have noticed the TVD brings the tail end back in faster and with TC on raises the limits overall noticeably.

Left set is the rears, it will snap out like a RWD car if you want it to in a good way. I love turning into my driveway using the right pedal lol!

Well according to Audi it was billed as the only "all wheel drive, all weather 12 cyl flagship" so I'm just following the manufacture suggestions lol!

I usually like taking all the cars out at least once in snow just so I know what they handle like, this one I actually don't feel that guilty about since it's all aluminum and has very good sealing.

Now if I lived down in Florida like some people I would totally run summer only tires, I am finding out that summer onlys here are a PAIN since you can barely drive the car. The 4.0 has been stuck in the garage for a minute now...

Thanks man, it's a very rare car that's for sure. I'm hoping I can get it to a near perfect state soon so I can truly drive without worry

Super nice, that's exactly the same as mine except exterior color. It would be "perfect" for a luxury spec if it had the maxed out rear seat and fridge

I wonder if whoever buys this would part with one of the keys in exchange for plain A8 key and $1000.....I need to find a replacement key case for mine.

Open bounty, if anyone finds me a mint/near mint W12 key I'll pay $200 for it. I'm totally serious

What does said key look like compared to a regular A8 key?

It has a metal "W12" badge on the back, I've had a very hard time finding even a single one for sale yet alone a near mint one.
