Long overdue interior pictures...... it's cleaned now and I'll update as the new euro market trim gets swapped in. Wheel is first and I'll be doing the doors/handles/wood next, goal is a near max spec without the leather upper dash. I never liked leather upper dashes but the level that has everything but the dash was not an option in the states so I have to piece it together myself.

Also one of the front brake pads, putting those on Saturday with new 2 piece rotors. I'm seriously considering swapping to CCBs though for the prestige factor. Also cuts a decent amount of weight off as well....

I use McGuire's extreme shine, I go back after 2-3 days with a new ultra fine cloth and rub everything down again to dull it/make it take its "true" sheen. I found that works best for what I like to target and since I let it set and rub it off/in later it's not effected by touch after that. It also probably doesn't help I have a work light shining right on it immediately after I did the "wet" application.....leather is heavily soaked in conditioner in those pictures and I'm still applying some here and there to slowly bring the color back to new. Once it's where I want it I'm going to ceramic it but since I'm getting a bunch of new interior bits I'm in no rush

It ended up looking the same as my LS460 that you mentioned was not as shiny as expected lol!

You can interact with it as much as you want and no marks are left at all and you only need to refresh once a year.

The correct amount of gloss should allow me to slide into the seat and glide me left to right when driving on curvy roads.
Like eggs in a Teflon skillet!

I hear that!
Plus, I won't spend more than $500 on fleabay on stuff anymore, been burnt too many times.
But good golly $8k for new carbon brakes?
Can't imagine getting the money back out of that when it's time to sell it but I can see the temptation tho.

Thanks man lol!

You will get to drive it next time I'm down in Florida, trust me that you won't slide out of the seats no matter how slick. It really keeps a good hold on you.

The brakes are really tempting me since this is one of my two "forever" cars, it won't ever go anywhere and will only be joined by the other two cars in my planned permanent four. I wouldn't really care if I got my money back and I would have the final word when it comes to brakes....

I may sell a few cars to pay for them? This stupid ford should net me like 4k or so, that's half.....(Help me. I'm rationalizing it)

Well FCP euro pulled an FCP euro and damaged my new brakes.....I'm annoyed but they will hopefully resolve this in time for my trip.

I will say they are quite large. Extremely so really.....weight is surprisingly not horrid all things considered.

You would think that they would know that pads of this size/weight need to be individually wrapped and not left loose.

Loose enough to leave impact marks

So I was driving out to my friends place with about 8k cases to reload some 9mm since his press is far better/faster than mine for that caliber.....

On the way out a C6 cut me off quite egregiously during a 2-1 merge after a roundabout, I'm talking like 1/4 cars separation maybe. Basic corvette stuff etc but I decided to play a bit, went to 3500 rpm and closed the speed difference. We were going the same direction so I did heavy pushing until a left turn onto a known road where I turned into the left lane (you can see this whole road, totally safe to do) and totally got inside him and waited for him to draw level and find his correct gear. Once it was "fair" I ran away from him.

Issue was I forgot about my brass until I had some in my lap, bucket was in the rear passenger seat since that was the most stable place for it. End result was about 2000 cases freaking everywhere including inside my rear underseat vents and under the carpets.

So I guess I'm taking the whole interior out.....the plus side is I get to actually clean it now. Since I'll have everything out I should be able to get it perfect again, there was a shocking amount of junk under the seats/rails etc that you can't clean unless you remove the interior entirely.

I was hoping I would avoid doing this with at least one car but I guess not.

Whoops is right lol! I have it totally apart now and it was easier than both my LSs, I should have the carpet out soon for cleaning etc.....

Next time I'll just go with my gut instinct and always keep stuff in the trunk or covered!
