Finally......each vent has its own temp probe even for the rears and I found that very interesting they would bother

GOT THEM OUT OF THIS SIDE. I'm adding a mesh to the vents to prevent this from ever happening again...

Huge power bus!

I'm also going to add some NVH materials to spots I think they are lacking, should quiet the car down even more for a 2lb weight penalty

It truly wasn't as bad as it looks but thanks guys lol! I was attending to this between other tasks at home that piled up post a one week absence.

I have everything back together now, actually it's better than it was since I added the dynamat and replaced some missing trim fasteners and got everything aligned perfectly. In a way I'm glad the brass spilled since it forced my hand at this.....

Also got to drive it again, I was supposed to take it on the 1600 mile trip I just got back from but due to the brake pads being damaged during delivery I just took the 460. Man is this thing on another level than the LS! Maybe I would feel different if I had a LS600 it at least an exec pack 460 but as is there is just no comparison other than better MPG

Brass is 100% removed, I heard nothing at all during any maneuver. Now it's onto finally doing all the maintenance I've been ignoring since the car acts so nice!

Clean

Clean and all fasteners present and correct now

Sometimes I get the thought to just buy a new car so I know it's clean/has no issues but then I remind myself it's 1-2 days work vs 100k/15k extra pending purchase vs lease. But the thought still comes up.....

RSE headphones and charger, my car didn't come with them so I had to buy replacements.....

They are smaller than you would think but have decent sound quality AND you can pair with a phone or the car so you can be that guy in public lol!

One of two Nugat headrest pillows in North America, you could only get these as part of the Audi exclusive program in Germany for $1000 each. I have two of only 6 on the continent.

These MASSIVELY improved the rear seat feel, combined with the footrests the rear seats are now really special for near zero weight penalty.

Audi footrest

Same carpet as the car

Nubs to try and help it not move, with how I sometimes drive I'm going to keep it under the seat in a holder

Two height/angle settings.

Commemorative display booklet in its container bag

Commemorative display booklet, hard plastic case

Media disk containing video showing off features/highlight reel to be displayed on the RSE system for max pretentious factor

Level 2 floormats

Leather bound

New caps

Small touch but I like them a lot

In a few weeks my seatback tray table will be ready for install, it will complete my rear passenger seat area quite nicely. I optioned a alcantara insert to match my headliner and to also be a quiet/slide resistant surface to place an iPad on.

W12 and the four rings, old ones had the 4 rings and said "A8" with a red Audi/A but were much dimmer than these laser based ones

So much sharper, can easily be seen during the day and I find the lack of model name much more appealing since ONLY the A8 ever got the W12

Pass rear/the fancy seat

Headrest pillows equipped to the rear seats

Stricker, spending this much on your car and showing so much love on it is gonna get your wife jealous.

Especially if you're spending a lot of time with it working on it too. haha

So for some reason my Audi charger didn't work....but this cheap one lit up. However when phone was plugged in it didn't really charge and did a rapid connect/disconnect

So I cleaned it....still didn't work. Used this brush, steel wool, and cleaner and got everything perfect. Simple steps expended I got real tools out

Odd......uh I guess there is power? Engine on/off didn't matter...

Rechecked the charger in my truck/1000% known good and sure enough it lit and charged my phone.

Truck engine off, on tender volts with a 14ft remote mount battery. Aka exactly where it normally is....

Yes.....fuses. German fuses......many many fuses and this is only one of 4 boxes like this.

Stack 4 from the left, and 4 from the top was this guy. It's the wrong brand (Bussmann, OE is littlefuse) and also the wrong amperage. Supposed to be a 20A not 30A, it was blown but somehow still transmitting power

Installed a proper OE 20A littlefuse and it's good!

Amazing how you figure things out like this. I would have taken it to the dealer and been raped while they attempted to figure it out. It’s almost like a fun hobby for you to find problems and then find the fix. Are you sure you didn’t dump those shells so you had an excuse to take your car apart?
