So what you thinking.
Run the soft top in warmer months and leave the hard top on thru winter?

No way I'd wanna fool with lugging that hard top on & off all the time.
I'm suspecting it wasn't meant to be used that way anyway.

PS- retractible hard top does sound like a nice touch tho.

Correct. It's not an easy, 2 minute job. Seasonal. The car looks sensational as a coupe and the hard top really makes it look and feel like one.

Make sure you don't get one with the biodegradable wiring. (1993-96) The r129 silver arrow is a trendy desirable model today but is 20 yrs old or more with costly repairs awaiting.
Its more that in order for the car to be "complete" it needs its hardtop. I agree I would never use it either but I would want to have it.

Deal is happening tomorrow. He even gave me the final number over the phone so I know how much to get the cashier's check for, which shocked me.

I want to thank those on this thread who have encouraged me to not let that kill the deal. Other than missing the top, this car seems to be in excellent condition. 57k miles. And nobody can say I never listen anymore! lol

Total price all in out the door? $18,375 which is pretty dang good for a Silver Arrow. If it looks and drives fine and I'm handing the check to them and that will be that.

It sounds like you have a good feeling about this car.
Hoping for full review with pics if ya feel like it.

PS- I don't really know what these are running for that condition & mileage.
From what you were saying, if I remember, they are kinda collectible.

The real question is, will you fill it up with the engine running?
