Following the brand since the beginning, that contradicts what I've heard in the past. I don't think those titles fully fit the history.

Probably the only models that have a meaning are the originals such as LS, ES, GS, SC and all others are just whats left in the trademark office including RX while LX could be an exception since it's a play on LS. I've never believed in Radiant SUV explanation for RX.

I thought that when the LC was first unveiled, they mentioned somewhere that LC stood for Lexus Challenge - BUT, it wouldn't make sense to call a model that, as it wouldn't be descriptive of the model - Luxury Coupe makes more sense.....
